Barcelona: Liberal Arts & Business

A semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain where I studied travel journalism, photojournalism, sports business, and Spanish while interning at Sant Jordi Hostels. I juggled heavy coursework, eight hours a week at my internship, and traveling all throughout Europe on the weekends. I was immersed in the Spanish and Catalan language at work, in classes, and while exploring the city. I got accustomed to city life, using public transportation and walking 10+ miles a day. I talked to the local artists at the weekend markets and made friends with people from all over the globe. By the time I left, I felt like a true, honorary Catalonian. 

University of Redlands 
Guatemala: Service Learning in Language, Culture, and Education 

A month dedicated to service-learning in language, culture, and education. I volunteered at a remote school in a small village outside of Antigua, Guatemala where I worked as a teacher's assistant for a kindergarten-level class. We traveled across Guatemala visiting schools in remote villages where we discussed and learned from locals how genocide and imperialism have created an unruly education system within Guatemala today.

The Salzburg Semester

A semester abroad in Salzburg, Austria where I traveled extensively throughout Europe (Austria, Italy, Germany, Greece, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, and Slovenia). Courses built around culture, language, and history aimed to give students an immersive experience rooted in ethical tourism. I produced The Student Visa, a self-run travel blog, and created content for a lifestyle Instagram.
